“Tourists find a natural welcome in Pakistan”

May 12th, 2017

Pakistan has many attributes, writes Zainab Shamim Potrick, 24, a Commonwealth Correspondent from Karachi in Pakistan, among them its natural beauty. She takes readers on a brief tour of some of the highlights.

Welcome to the most powerful Islamic country. Welcome to one of the world’s seven atomic powers. Welcome to the land surrounded by rivers and mountains. Welcome to the home of “Abdul Sattar Edhi”. Welcome to the most beautiful country of this world: Pakistan!

Call me biased, emotional or whatever, but one day, maybe after viewing its raw beauty, you will say that yourself about Pakistan.

Pakistan is pretty rich in natural beauty. Name any of aspect of natural beauty on which this country cannot compete, be it beaches, waterfalls, mountains, grasslands or some stunning lakes. Pakistan has all of these along with the best ever weather conditions. From busy cities to entirely remote areas, from innovative buildings to historical structures, it has all the tourist attractions. Even its deserts have so much beauty that will mesmerize you. Thar Desert is one of the fertile deserts of the world. There is agriculture here, it has the oldest Hindu Temples, along with wells, lake and everything to cause you wonder.

Would you like to imagine yourself at a place where all the three sides are covered with greenery? Not the ordinary greenery, but very beautiful greenery with some mules grazing around? You are sipping tea while sitting beside your orange camp and there is a famous killer mountain, Nanga Parbat, in front of you. Yes, you can witness that by spending a very little amount from your savings.

And if you are not mesmerised by tall mountains or you get altitude sickness, no problem. We have beaches for you. You are welcome to the metropolitan city of Karachi where time and activity runs around the clock. And with all the busy-ness, its beaches always provide serenity to its residents as well as the expatriates. This city has some motherhood aspects, which makes it accept everyone and provide them the best.

Ever dreamt about going in to the water forests? Catching fish from a little rented boat? Keemari is the place for you! Also it has all the advanced water activities such as scuba diving, knee boarding, and cliff jumping.

Good food is another memorable aspect of this country. You can get it in the fully equipped latest dining halls of five star hotels, or you can go right on to the river on the floating tables. A Pakistani meal is a must-try thing once in a life.

Save some time for yourself in your busy life, and witness the golden fairies that dance on Karakoram in the moonlight. Witness the prince who travels to Lake Saif ul Malook on the full moon of every month, mounted on his white flying horse. Witness the beauty of non-polluted skies that will take you to another world, and witness the inner peace!
