Tabotabo Auatabu (Kiribati)
Tabotabo was the first president of the Kiribati Schools Counselling and Wellbeing Network, where he delivered motivational and inspirational messages to young people. He was also a member of the Eliminating Sexual and Gender Based Violence Education Committee, a body created to help children who are victims of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence.
Sam Johnson (New Zealand)
Sam founded the Student Volunteer Army, which has mobilised over 11,000 students in New Zealand on disaster risk reduction. He also co-founded Youth Beyond Disasters, a youth-led NGO that hosts workshops and forums on disaster management throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Jamie Moore (Australia)
Jamie is the General Manager of Hello Sunday Morning, a youth-led initiative based in Australia that supports young people in changing their relationship with alcohol and decreasing their consumption. Under his leadership, the organisation has increased its user base from 15,000 to 35,000, and was highlighted in the ‘International Journal of Drug Policy’.
Brianna Fruean (Samoa)
At 11, Brianna founded ‘Small Voices’, an environmental NGO that carries out climate change and environment-related projects. She is also a leader of ‘Future Rush’, an environmental group that mobilises young people to run sustainable development projects in their communities.
