Jean Paul Brice Affana is from Cameroon. Aware about the key contribution of young people to advance the implementation of sustainable development, climate change and biodiversity agendas worldwide, he works with youth and civil society to educate people in becoming eco-citizens. He was trained as Youth and Action Instructor by the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Cameroon and is also involved with the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC).

Jean Paul has served in 2011 as Focal Point of the Youth Constituency at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and is an active member of the Major Group for Children and Youth at the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. He has strong skills in using social media for development, communication, reporting, blogging, mobilization, campaigning, projects implementation and information sharing.

He believes that the CYCN could be a successful all-inclusive platform for young people from all Commonwealth countries.
